Austin Kiddie Limits

This following originally appeared on Do512Family. Many thanks to the crew there for sharing it with us! They will be posting band previews, giveaways and more in the next couple of weeks leading up to the festival so be sure to check the site daily.

October is fast approaching, and in this town you know what that means – ACL! You’re probably well-versed on what’s in store for the grownups (The Cure! Lionel Richie! Everyone else imaginable!), but since babysitters may be hard to come by, better check out all the cool stuff that’s in store at Austin Kiddie Limits.

In case you (live in a cave and) don’t know, this year’s festival will be running the same lineup for two consecutive weekends, October 4 – 6 and 11 – 13 at Zilker Park. Kids age 10 and under get in for free with an adult, and Austin Kiddie Limits, presented by Rosetta Stone, will be open daily from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm. Offering much more than music, AKL is family-friendly fun that’s a festival within a festival – an oasis for you and your kiddos to escape the crowds. With cool perks like baby changing stations and family port-a-potties, make sure to make time for this great part of ACL. Following is a rundown of vendors and bands – and don’t forget to check back throughout the week, since we’ll be featuring posts about each artist that will include giveaways of their albums and merchandise!
